I would have given the album five stars, but it's only his debut. The album peaked at number one the Billboard 200, and became Nellys best-selling album to date, selling over 8.4 million copies in the United States. Yet, this is what makes Nelly a standout. Under Universal, Nelly began his solo career in the year 2000, with his debut album Country Grammar, of which the featured title track and the single 'Ride wit Me' were top ten hits. It was released on June 27, 2000, by Universal Records. But no! The tracks all exemplify the astoundingly new voice of Nelly. Country Grammar is the debut studio album by American rapper Nelly. At this point I usually expect there to be a fall off until the popular track comes on and then the rest of the track to be so-so. It flows right into the "Hood's" theme song, "St. The CD starts out with a hilarious intro from Cedric the Entertainer.
Many of the debut artists that come out with a single months ahead of time hit you with a horrible debut album in the future.
